The Arsin family's path began in Tabriz. Haj Teymour Arsin, founder of the family trade, built it on respect for honest material and exacting handwork — principles the family still holds to today.

Abbas Arsin's independent path
Abbas Arsin entered the trade alongside his father, Haj Mohammad-Ali Arsin, and soon set out on his own — collecting and exporting Persia's most valuable antique carpets.

That path led to galleries across North America — first in Toronto, then Dallas, Houston and Los Angeles — today counted among the continent's most reputable handmade-rug galleries.
Today
Tehran and the villages of Iran
Today Arsin designs and colors its patterns in the Tehran studio and weaves in the villages of Iran, using hand-spun wool and vegetal dyes. Spinning, dyeing, weaving and restoration workshops in under-served regions now provide work for more than 2,000 weavers.
Alongside this, Arsin repatriates authentic Persian rugs and kilims from Europe and America, and works to bring the kilim and jajim back into Iranian homes.
